Feeling anxious about your first appointment? You’re not alone…

“Thank you for such a positive appointment…”

We recently received a lovely email from a first-time patient who took the time to share their experience with us:

“Thank you for such a positive appointment. I admit I was a little anxious beforehand, but I had no need to be. Everything was very professional but friendly, and my treatment going forward, no doubt, will be very beneficial.”

Feedback like this means a great deal to us, and we’re always pleased to hear when someone has felt comfortable and reassured during their visit.

Feeling anxious about your first appointment? You’re not alone…

It’s completely understandable to feel a little nervous before seeing a practitioner for the first time. Taking that initial step to get a problem assessed can feel like a big deal, particularly if you’re unsure what to expect.

You might find yourself wondering:

  • Will this treatment help me?
  • Will I be in safe and experienced hands?
  • What exactly will happen during my appointment?
  • Can I bring a friend of relative in with me?

For some people, there may also be other concerns that make arranging a visit feel challenging. Making that initial phone call, filling in forms, finding your way to an unfamiliar location or worrying about parking can all add to the stress.

And for those with additional needs, there may be other important considerations, such as step-free access, stairs, accessible toilet facilities or making sure we understand any particular requirements before you arrive.

We recognise that everyone’s circumstances are different, and we want to make taking that first step as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

How can we help?
