Go backTeaching and back pain
If you work in education or early years your job can be
a pain in the neck and back!
A recent survey of early years primary teachers, undertaken by the BackCare Charity www.backcare.org.uk, showed a large number of staff experience some form of work related musculoskeletal discomfort.
In the report these were the key findings:
• 88% experienced back pain
• 73% experienced neck and shoulder pain
• 38% had been off work
• 82% reported discomfort once a week or more
• 36% reported daily pain
